A TEENAGER was viciously assaulted by two men as he walked along a road in Morecambe.
The 19-year-old was in Marlborough Road at around 9pm on Tuesday when he was approached by a man who punched him and demanded money.
The man searched the teenager's pockets and then became aggressive.
The teenager tried to escape but he was approached by a second man who also assaulted him. The pair then violently beat the teenager around the face and body until a passer-by intervened. The offenders ran off.
The teenager sustained swelling and bruising to the face and right cheekbone as well as cuts to lips and bruising to his body.
A police spokesman said: "This is a nasty attack and we would like anyone who was in the area at the time who saw something to come forward."
