LEIGH Miners Rangers ended their season on a high with a 44-6 thrashing of arch rivals Wigan St Pat's.
Rangers outclassed the home side in every department and raced in to a 22-0 lead with tries from Timmy Howson, Neil McCulloch, Mick Warburton and Ben Dickinson. Chris Lee added the first of his six goals.
St Pat's hit back with a try from ex-Leyther Shaun Bannister, which was goaled by former MR player Winston Sarsfield.
But MR stretched their lead in first half injury time when McCulloch scored his second.
After the break the Wiganers enjoyed more pressure but they couldn't break through.
Mark Sarsfield unselfishly handed McCulloch his hat trick before the favour was returned on the hour and Lee Stretch ended the scoring with 15 minutes to go.
