A CHARITY evening at Garswood Conservative Club raised around £500 for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
Two club members have been taking part in a sponsored slim and a prize raffle was held on the night with a host of prizes including a microwave oven, watches, wines and spirits, all donated by the members, to raise the cash.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer volunteer worker, Jean Field, said: "I have always had a lot of support from the club and indeed, Garswood residents, and I'd just like to put on record my deep gratitude for their generosity."
ANYONE who would like to help Jean raise money for the charity can contact her at 13, Victoria Road, Garswood WN4 0TA.
