FOND memories of the old black and white 'Watch With Mother' children's programmes are being rekindled at Prescot Museum.
For Muffin the Mule, who became a household name after making his debut appearance in the children's hour in 1946, is currently on display at the museum along with a whole host of puppets from across the world.
Sue Arnold from Prescot Museum, said: "As well as Muffin, who people will fondly remember, we have about 70 other puppets from across the world to view. They all work in different ways -- some are string puppets, while others are worked by means of a rod. There are all shapes and sizes of puppets dating back to the 19th Century from Java, Burma and Russia -- some are unbelievably intricate with fantastic costumes."
The puppets will be on display at the museum in Church Street, Prescot, until the end of May.
