LAST year, I appealed to readers to take any foreign coins into a branch of Boots the Chemists or their local Cancer Research Campaign shop and the response has been phenomenal.
So far, a staggering £100,000-worth of unwanted foreign coins have been donated to the Cancer Research Campaign.
This initiative began eight years ago, since when more than half a million pounds has been raised, proving that even the smallest of contributions add up.
The Foreign Coin Appeal special collection boxes will be back in Boots stores and the Cancer Research Campaign's shops from May 1 until the end of October, so please continue to donate those leftover foreign coins.
