FORK-LIFT truck driver Bob Taylor is planning a gruelling bike ride across some of the highest peaks in the country to raise money for charity.
Bob, 44, of Earby, will be tackling the challenge with his friend Reg Haigh from Ilkley.
The two friends plan to cycle from Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coast across to Sunderland. The route will take them across the Lake District and some of the highest peaks in the country.
Bob (pictured on the left) and Reg, who are both experienced cyclists, are determined to break the current record for the trip of 16 hours and 22 minutes.
Bob said: "We are planning to do the ride non-stop in May. I have done the route before but this is the first time I will be doing it without a break."
The cyclists have been in training for several months but are looking to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
