A GROUP of 35 French visitors spent two days in the Ribble Valley as part of an exchange programme organised by Clitheroe Twinning Association.
Guests from Clitheroe's twin town Rivesaltes, were met by the Mayor and Mayoress of the Ribble Valley Coun Brian and Mrs Pat Collis and the Mayor and Mayoress of Clitheroe Coun Alan and Mrs Susan Yearing.
They stayed with families in the Ribble Valley and enjoyed an oompah band concert at West Bradford village hall, watched Burnley Football Club play Millwall, played football and attended a dinner dance at Mytton Fold Farm Hotel. During the 'French Connection' visit £1,000 was presented to the Heart Foundation and £200 to the Clitheroe Mayor's charity fund, which was raised by the twinning association.
