BROOKSIDE'S Max Farnham, alias actor Steven Pinder, had a guided tour of Pendleside Hospice.
Lottery manager Harry Grayson invited Whalley-born Steven via his father, a regular supporter of the hospice and secretary of Burnley Rotary Club.
Steven was shown around the hospice by chairman Muriel Jobling and spoke to patients.
He was also told about the Hospice Lottery, which was launched in February and has its first draw on May 12.
Mr Grayson said: "It's a great morale booster for the patients and staff and also a valuable boost to our fund-raising activities."
