BLACKPOOL is getting the Starr treatment this Friday (April 28) as Britain's maddest man returns to the town for one night only.
Freddie Starr is back in Blackpool again and is set to grace the Opera House with an evening of his very own brand of adult humour.
Freddie began from humble beginnings in Liverpool as a rock and roll singer performing alongside Gerry and The Pacemakers and the Beatles.
But he soon turned from music to merriment and quickly built up a huge following for his comedy act, firmly establishing himself as the king of live comedy.
Although playing to live audiences is still Freddie's favourite medium for his brand of comedy, television companies are always knocking at his door to perform and he holds the record for the most appearances on the Des O'Connor Show having been invited to the famous couch ten times.
Catch the Starr as Freddie appears for just one night of mayhem, and maybe even maggot-throwing, at Blackpool Opera House from 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Blackpool Live on (01253) 292029 priced between £10-15.
