A LOCAL health trust worker will be flying out to Kosovo this week to teach vital life saving skills.
Lucy Belson will involve setting up a training programme for paramedics and working in the front line of emergency care.
She has also been asked to spend some time in Pristina University Hospital assisting in the setting up of an intensive care unit.
Lucy said "I received the initial contact on April 9, so this has all happened very quickly. However, I am really looking forward to what is a very exciting opportunity."
Ian Cumming, chief executive, said "The Trust is proud of the fact that Lucy has been asked to set up this training programme. Not only will it be of benefit to Lucy but the Trust will also gain from her increased experience and expertise."
