LOCAL Labour MP Hilton Dawson will be speaking at the International Labour Day rally in Lancaster on Saturday.
Hilton will use the opportunity to answer his and the government's critics.
Hilton said: "I am very proud to be able to speak of the genuine achievements of a Labour Government at an International Labour Day rally.
"It is the centenary year of the Labour Party. At the beginning of a new millennium, I want to be able to look back at the strides that have been made in improving the lives of ordinary people as a direct result of the efforts of our organised movement.
"We must also look forward. There is so much left to do in the new century to work towards full employment in Lancaster and to continue our fight against poverty and lack of opportunity."
