Vulcan 28 Eccles nil FLASHES of individual brilliance earned Vulcan viuctory against a well drilled Eccles outfit.
C. Laughton fginished off a move he had started with a try under the sticks, and Holland added the extras. For the next ten minutes Eccles were camped in the Vulcan half, and as they looked to score veteran centre Evans interceptedand went 65 yards to score. Holland converted.
The second half started explosively for Vulcan as P. Healey supported a move to score under the posts, Holland converted. As the Vulcan pack continued their dominance in the scrum, half-back Rigby pounced on a golden opportunity to send Holland in at the corner, which he added the extras. Man of the match was flanker P. Healey.
