BURNLEY mascot Bertie Bee was cheering the Clarets on at Turf Moor today -- despite being stung by injury.
Burnley was abuzz with rumour that Bertie would miss the vital Cambridge clash after he went down with injury after doing the splits in an attempt to impress the Asda Bunny at the end of last week's Millwall game.
But a week of intense physio treatment to his knee ligament strain has guaranteed his presence -- though he may be taking a less active role.
"There is no substitute for Bertie Bee and he wouldn't let his loyal fans down for anything," said club promotions spokesman Danny Reuben.
"Although he may not do all the things he normally does, he will still be there to make his presence felt."
