A WARNING to Burnley fans that forged tickets are in circulation for the last match of the season at Scunthorpe next week has been issued by police.
Officers have warned that anyone trying to use a forgery to try to get into the game will be arrested.
Burnley's official allocation of 2,000 tickets has been sold, but police have information to suggest that 200 forgeries are circulating.
A Humberside Police spokesman advised Burnley fans without a genuine ticket not to travel to the game.
He said anyone in possession of forged tickets would not only not be allowed in to the match but would be arrested.
Entry to other parts of the ground will not be possible.
Anyone with information about the forgeries is asked to contact police on 01282 425001.
Fans may be able to see the Scunthorpe clash on a giant screen at Turf Moor. Details will be released next week.
