ANTI-abortion protesters formed 84 human chains in silent vigils in various parts of the country at the weekend.
In Burnley, the chain was just a link as only a handful of members of the local Society for the Protection of Unborn Children displayed posters to passing traffic in Cavalry Way.
Branch chairman David Newton said he was not disappointed at the small turn-out as the branch had only been in existence a short time.
He said they were still getting their message across commemorating the 5.5 million abortions since the 1967 abortion act.
The Burnley branch was only launched in November by Mr Newton and has about 20 members.
