BLACKBURN hairdresser Carolyn Briggs made sure it was a close shave when three plucky cleaners braved the clippers in a children's charity challenge.
The trio from Blackburn's Queen's Park Hospital took part in the sponsored head shave to help raise money for the children's ward.
And they helped entertain shoppers passing between the town's three and five day markets as Carolyn, of the Strand salon in nearby Penny Street, set up an impromptu barbers in Market Walk.
The stylist then lopped their locks in full view before offering them wigs to cover up.
