A CHEESE and wine evening was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Accrington Local Studies Library.
The local studies collection has been on the first floor of the former Mechanics Institute for a decade.
It features sources of information which trace the history of the town, including books, pamphlets, videos, microfilm records, news cuttings, maps, photographs and internet links.
There is also material on Altham, Baxenden, Church, Clayton-le-Moors, Great Harwood, Huncoat, Oswaldtwistle and Rishton.
The library is free to use and is open from 10am to 7.30pm on Monday and Tuesday, 12.30pm on Wednesday and 5pm on Thursday and Friday and until 4pm on Saturday.
County councillor Ian Omerod joined staff at the centre for the birthday event.
