FILM fans found themselves caught up in a horror movie when they went to Blackburn's Apollo cinema.
Staff at the town centre cinema shocked the audience by staging a mock stabbing to celebrate the opening of the film Scream 3.
A fake screen was erected in front of the real one, and the trailers projected on to it.
Staff then staged a "breakdown" of the equipment and the lights came up to reveal a person dressed as the baddie from the movie series.
The evil character then "killed" his victim before bursting through the fake screen.
Assistant manager Naz Asghar said: "We got a standing ovation. It was fantastic."
Pictured re-enacting the stunt are David Meats, Sam Hayes and Adnan Mustajbasic.
