Lancashire Lynx 4 Keighley Cougars 98
LANCASHIRE Lynx's dismal season took another turn for the worse when they suffered a record-breaking defeat at the hands of Keighley at Victory Park.
Lynx had no answer to the power and pace of the Keighley side which saw them run in 17 tries with only a Dave Jones try just after the hour mark breaking up the procession.
This must rank as Lynx's worst performance of the season as their defence totally capitulated within the first half hour of the game.
After the game, a shell-shocked Steve Hampson was almost lost for words, but he said: "After last week's improved performance against Widnes I expected us to carry on the good work against Keighley. Unfortunately, we turned in our worst performance of the season and some of the players should look at themselves for the effort that they put in and overall it was a totally unacceptable performance."
