SOME classic "thoroughbreds" of the motor industry spent the day sunning themselves at a Pendle pub as a May Day classic car rally attracted hundreds of visitors.
The rally in the sunshine in a field behind the Cross Gaits Inn, Blacko, was a great success and the appropriately-named pub manager Carl Ford said similar events will be held in future.
"It was brilliant, a fantastic day and we were very pleased with the number of people that came along," he said.
The rally, which attracted around 25 cars and motorbikes from a bygone era from across the North West, was organised by Mick Holehouse, of Blacko, a friend of Carl's.
John Atkinson of Blacko is pictured showing off his 1960 Daimler SP250.
