ROMAN Catholic Benedictine monks from the new Monastery of St Benedict, Bamber Bridge will sing the Magnificat and Nunc Dimitis during a special millennium celebration.
'That's the Spirit!' will be held at Preston North End's Deepdale stadium on Pentecost Sunday, June 11.
Organised by Churches Together in Lancashire, the ecumenical character of the event, which will portray 2000 years of Christian history, will be underlined by giant adult and children's choirs from churches of all Christian denominations throughout the county.
There will also be barbershop choirs of the Red Rose Chorus and Red Rosettes and a combined Salvation Army band.
Believed to be the biggest event of its type ever held in Lancashire, 'That's the Spirit!' is expected to have an audience of 14,000.
