PRESTON MP Audrey Wise has left hospital and is recovering well from a delicate brain operation two weeks ago.
Doctors discovered that the Labour MP had a brain tumour, which they removed. Audrey is due to undergo a six-week course of radiotherapy treatment in a few weeks.
In a statement from the House of Commons, Audrey says she is hopeful about the outcome of the illness and is sure that her strength and determination will see her through.
She is described as being "in a very positive state of mind", and would like to thank everyone who has sent her cards, flowers and messages of support.
The constituency casework and advice surgeries will continue as near to normal as possible and will be dealt with by her daughter Valerie and assistants George Vickers and Anni Marjoram.
