TOP comedy duo Cannon and Ball will have them rolling in the aisles.
Go-ahead Atherton Revival Church has hired a big hall to pack in the fans of braces-twanging funnyman Bobby Ball.
Bobby (pictured) will be at King's Park at Atherleigh from 7.30pm on June 17 and admission is free to anyone. And on the following Saturday Tommy Cannon will be rockin' for the revivalists .
ARC minister Pastor Paul Borbash explained: "They will minister and preach and show people Atherton Revival Church is a working church -- and very much alive.
"We said it was the church of the year 2000, it is.
"Our congregations may be small but the community we serve is large."
At the moment ARC is giving-away furniture -- donated by locals -- to the needy.
Pastor Borbash added: "It saddens me to see people throwing away items which could be used by those who can't afford to buy new.
"If anyone has furniture or kitchen equipment, cookers or anything useful to offer just contact us at church. We'll ensure it goes to a good home."
The minister has been impressed with the support shown following a recent spate of vandalism at the Bag Lane church.
He said: "We've had plastic coated mattresses from the BUPA home in Leigh and an alarm fitted free by ADT. We're very grateful."
