HILTON Park boss Chris Healey has promised to get rid of Leigh Centurions' "lunatic fringe" of travelling fans.
The chief executive, worried by minor crowd disturbances whenever the Centurions play big away games, has called on genuine fans to 'shop' the culprits.
His move comes after three Leigh fans were arrested at the Trans-Pennine Cup Final. Other incidents at away games this season have also been reported.
"Putting things into perspective, it is only a tiny minority that are causing trouble - certainly no more than a dozen," says Mr Healey.
"But this lunatic fringe of idiots is giving the club a black name and I'll do everything in my power to put a stop to it.
"If these people can be identified and me supplied with names and addresses, I will invite them to a face-to-face meeting. If they don't want to abide by my rules, they'll be banned from the club.
"I'm not having the enjoyment of the many spoiled by the few."
Mr Healey adds: "Rugby League has always prided itself on being a family game with a safe atmosphere. That image must be preserved at all costs.
"In the meantime if any Leigh supporters know who the troublemakers are, I would like them to let me know and I can deal with it.
"We at Leigh take our responsibilities seriously. The actions of these people are a reflection on this club and on this community. It won't be tolerated any longer."
