SOME time ago you had a front page feature about the Horticultural Therapy Project based at the Moor Hospital, Lancaster.
At that time it was felt that the project would cease to exist.
Fortunately, through persistent asking of questions via the press, both local MPs and others, the Unit has been transferred to a new location at the Lancaster and Morecambe College.
Since 14 February 2000, a completely empty greenhouse has been transformed into one full to the brim with plants.
We are now open for sales of herbs, house plants, perennial plants and orders are being taken for hanging baskets and other plants, which will be ready for planting later in the year, when the danger of frost is past.
Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to noon and 1.30pm to 3.30pm (excluding Bank Holidays). It is through the sale of plants and produce that we are able to remain in existence.
