DEMON Vimto Honda rider John McGuinness was in a class of his own when he swept to three unchallenged victories at the tight and twisty circuit at Olivers Mount, Scarborough.
In doing so, the 26-year-old Morecambe rider lifted the prestigious Ken Redfern Trophy to add to his impressive list of titles that he won at the Yorkshire seaside track last year which now means in the twelve months, he has won every single solo trophy there.
McGuinness took the first race by an amazing 30 seconds before easing to victory in legs two and three.
"It's great to ride the 500 because I don't get much chance so when I do, I try to make the most of it," said the reigning 250cc British Champion. "I like coming to Scarborough and because I had such a good lead." McGuinness headed straight off to catch an overnight ferry to Northern Ireland where he will contest this week's International North West 200 aboard the Honda VTR SP1 Superbike.
