HOW many of us were asked the question "What do your parents do?" when we were younger?
Children whose parents work at BAE Systems, Warton, can now clearly give an answer having spent a day seeing exactly what their mothers and fathers do.
More than 90 employees' children visited the company recently and watched a video about the site as well as taking part in a team-building challenge.
The parents then took over, giving sons and daughters the chance to see what goes on from day to day. For Paul Tognarelli, of King Edward and Queen Mary School, this meant an afternoon in the hot gas lab where his father Bob is involved in testing landing surfaces for V/STOL aircraft. Paul, pictured here with his father Bob, said: "The day was good fun but I don't know whether I'd want to work with my Dad full time."
Christine Sherburne, education associate at BAE Systems, said the idea behind the day was to give young people a flavour of the world of work and added: "We hope that through experiencing life here the teenagers will be able to make a more informed decision about their future."
