WINDLE have made a great start to the rounders season.
For they won the annual Nat West Rounders tournament, which traditionally starts the rounders season at Ruskin Drive.
The teams were split into two sections with top two going through to semi-finals.
New team Pilkington Crusaders entered a team, which gave them a harsh introduction to competitive rounders. Grasshoppers were narrowly edged out by Bobbies Lane, who went on to play Windle in the final. Pilkington Spartans having lost to Windle in the other semi-final. Windle eventually came out victors in a close 5-2 final.
