KITCHEN staff from a range of schools in Blackpool have cooked up a recipe for success in their chosen careers after studying for a national hospitality qualification.
Staff from Collegiate High, Devonshire, Layton, Revoe, Stanley, Warbreck and Waterloo schools proved to assessors from Blackpool and The Fylde College they had the right ingredients to pass the Level Two National Vocational Qualification in Hospitality Quick Service.
And the icing on the cake was a ceremony at Blackpool Town Hall this week when Mayor Bill Burgess presented the staff with their awards in his parlour.
A spokesman for Blackpool Borough Council said: "We'd like to congratulate the staff who have worked hard to achieve this qualification.
"We hope that more will now embark on the course of study and that those who have just qualified will have the opportunity to build on their experience for their own personal development and for the benefit of the service and customers. "
