TICKETS for the prestigious 41st national police dog trials being held in Lancashire in May 2000 are now available.
The trials take place on May 9,10,11 and involve the top police dogs and their handlers from around the UK competing in a series of tests that simulate conditions which may be encountered during operational duties.
Spectators can watch the event at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Union Football Club ground, off Tom Benson Way, where the obedience and criminal work tests will be held. The event is open to everyone and is free, but by ticket only.
Surfers on the World Wide Web can apply for tickets online by visiting the Internet site and completing a simple form.
Tickets can also be obtained by calling the more traditional telephone line on 01772 618455.
Inspector Phil Williams, Dog Training School said: "The trials are an excellent spectator event for those who are interested in the work of these specially trained dogs and their handlers, or for dog lovers in general."
Please remember that no pets are allowed at the trials.
Details and tickets are available from the Constabulary website: www.lancashire.police.uk
