AN ACROBATIC leap from John Sodhi gave Leigh CC a dramatic victory at Northern in the LDCA Final.
Three wickets each for Mike Holden and Ben Cottrell restricted the home side to 188.
Then good hits from Dave Dove, Andy Batterley and Chris Hall kept Leigh in touch, setting up Sodhi for his last-ball heroics and victory with fewer wickets lost.
In Monday's semi against New Brighton Leigh scored 199-9 thanks to Andy Mullaney's quickfire 53 and Tim McKiernan's more sedate 37.
In reply New Brighton looked comfortable at 108-2, but then ran out of steam with Mike Day's devastating spell of 5-5 in five overs.
Leigh won by 41 runs to smoothly reach the final.
Leigh beat Neston in the National Cup with tight bowling from Graham Duddle.
