FLEETWOOD boxer Jane Couch could be featured in a new blockbusting film -- with Hollywood superstar Demi Moore in the lead role!
Speculation is rife that Guy Ritchie, the hip director of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, is planning to make a film about the Fleetwood Assassin.
And if the rumours are to be believed, GI Jane and Striptease star Demi Moore could be lacing up the gloves to play Lancashire's toughest lady.
The film would be based on her recent book, Jane Couch -- Fleetwood Assassin, which tells the story of how she bravely fought for her right to be a professional boxer.
Jane is currently in London on a book signing tour and has met with her publishers Blake Publishing to discuss the possibilities of a film being made.
Speaking from London Jane she said she would be thrilled if it happened. And then added she would like to star in it herself! "I have only just heard about it myself but nothing definite has been decided and no contracts have been signed yet.
"Demi Moore would be good in the role because she has a good muscular build like me.
"But I would like to play the fight scenes myself because you would need someone who can box properly and you can't learn that in a few months.
"To be honest at the moment it is really hectic signing my books and doing television interviews.
"So I am looking forward to being able to concentrate on training for my next fight."
Jane is currently in training for her defence of the World Lightweight Championship title which takes place in London in June.
A spokesman for Blake Publishing said that Guy Ritchie -- boyfriend of Hollywood superstar Madonna who is expecting his baby --had been in contact with them but could not confirm speculation he was planning to make the film.
