WHAT on earth are the council thinking about with their decision not to grant public hire licences to 20 saloon car drivers?
I am 85 and disabled but thankfully do not need a wheelchair. I have used Bury taxi rank saloons for a long time and have always found them clean, and the drivers courteous.
Why should my choice be taken away? The saloon cars are more comfortable and easier to board. I hope the council think about people like me and see sense.
