MY grandparents were both in England: Mom in Burnley and Pop in Keighley, Yorkshire.
They had four children, including my mother, Beatrice Devitt, born in 1906 in Burnley before emigrating to Canada in 1913.
Officials can find no record of my mother's birth, so I am hoping to find a baptismal certificate.
My grandparents were married in 1905 by a Father Raymond in a Burnley RC church, but I don't know which one, though I am told my great-grandfather, Michael Quinn, was the choirmaster there.
I wonder if readers could give me any advice on how to track this down.
As I understand, there are still a good number of Quinn descendants in the area -- of my grandmother's sister and brothers -- I hope some might yield some information.
