THE Macmillan Windmill Appeal is on the cards to receive a boost with the launch of a new scheme to reward Blackpool leisure seekers.
Blackpool's Best Loyalty Card, launched this week by Leisure Parcs, offers discounts on all the top shows and attractions in the resort.
The cards cost just £10 and the Macmillan Windmill Appeal will get £5 from every sale.
The card offers £5 off tickets for certain performances of Blood Brothers, Annie, Fame and Doctor Dolittle which are coming soon to the Opera House.
It also offers a special two for one offer to see stars like Danny La Rue, Hale and Pace and The Grumbleweeds.
People have already being queuing up to be among the first to take advantage of the card knowing they can can recoup the cost with a visit to just one show or a family outing to one of the many attractions including the SeaLife Centre and The Waxworks.
Visitors to Blackpool Tower and Circus can save £6 off the normal admission price while children will pay just half-price. There are also offers at hotels and restaurants. Leisure Parcs marketing executive Jon Sheehy explained: "Blackpool's Best Loyalty Card will be indispensable for anyone enjoying the town's shows and attractions as well as people staying or eating out.
"It offers fantastic savings for a minimal investment while contributing to a worthy local cause.
"We are already having discussions with several top class leisure and entertainment venues and hope to announce a series of additional offers throughout the summer."
Macmillan Windmill Appeal fundraiser Elaine Fossett said: "I am absolutely delighted that Leisure Parcs have chosen to help the community in this way.
"The cards are superb value and I am sure they will be very popular and will be a great help to us in reaching our £2.9m target."
Cards can be bought at The Show Shop on Bank Hey Street behind the Tower and Circus or by telephoning Blackpool Live on 292029.
