DR FEELGOOD has the perfect remedy for building HIV awareness in Blackpool.
The madcap medic with the heart of gold, aka local DJ Joe Curran, has joined with Cahoots manager Dave Daley and North West Lancashire Health Authority to inform and educate young people about the deadly disease.
He told the Citizen: "We are organising these evenings in Cahoots on Fridays throughout June to remind people that it's not just gay people who can contract this deadly virus but heterosexuals too, which people sometimes forget.
"Also holidaymakers tend to forget their responsibilities a bit more and can be more promiscuous.
"We will be giving out free goodies and there will be competitions and a whole host of fun stuff as well as information, so it's a good night out with a serious message."
Call into Cahoots on June 9 from 8pm for the first of the fabulous Fridays and remember your favourite Citizen columnist Dr Feelgood also holds a surgery in Yates's Talbot Square every Tuesday night.
