POP music fans Paul Rice and John Kilduff are so devoted to teen idol, Britney Spears that they made a 6,000-mile transatlantic round trip for a glimpse of the American singer.
John, from West Park, and Paul, from Haydock, both aged 20, work at the Manweb Warrington Call Centre. They were joined by two colleagues on the trip to a Britney concert in Albany, four hours drive from New York.
Paul, whose work desk is surrounded with posters of his idol, organised the trip, and the four joined a 25,000-strong audience to see the singer.
He told the Star: "We had a great time and Britney was better than I expected. Afterwards we managed to get into a question-and-answer session backstage and she told us she liked our accents -- even if she did think we were Irish at first! I told her the concert was boss, then I had to explain that that meant great.
