I COME down strongly in favour of those presently running Bury FC.
Of course we could do with a wealthy benefactor but even then there would be a need for someone experienced to run the club on a day-to-day basis, as was the case when Mr Eaves was backing the club.
And you would go a long way before you found two more experienced and dedicated men than Terry Robinson and Neville Neville. Additionally, these men, when given prudent financial backing by Mr Eaves, have shown what they can achieve.
Meanwhile expenditure needs to be kept in line with income and consequently some unpopular decisions will have to be made. However, I am convinced these two people will make them to ensure the survival of our beloved club.
During these difficult times it is more important than ever that all Bury supporters get behind the club. With their help, and with the leadership of Andy Preece, a young man who shows serious management potential, the position can at least be stabilised with a view to moving forward in the long term.
Finally, a word of caution to people who are so keen to oust them in favour of some unknown millionaire miracle-worker. Just take a close look at the plight of Chester City who got what they thought was a wealthy saviour. They are now in the Vauxhall Conference!
