PRESTON North End's walking wounded from last season are making good recoveries from summer operations as they prepare for their First Division campaign.
After picking up the Sky Sports/ bigsave.com Second Division goalkeeper of the season Teuvo Moilanen is getting back to fitness after a minor knee operation.
"Tepi is moving well, he's comfortable and running well," said club physio Mick Rathbone.
Striker Bjarki Gunlaugsson is also recovering from an ankle operation and is making good progress in Iceland while Lee Cartwright had knee surgery a week ago.
"Lee's fine and things look good here," added the physio.
Another casualty was defender Michael Jackson who had a hernia operation in mid-May.
"He has done his first jogging so we are getting there."
The big doubt has been over defender Ryan Kidd who will to miss the start of next season after seeing a neurosurgeon.
"Ryan is a while away from playing football but everybody is happy with his progress so far," added Rathbone.
