MY name is Maggie and I live in Haydock and I have cancer. During the month of May I have been making a journey through Haydock calling at small and large businesses asking them if they would kindly donate a gift, or gifts for the Cancer Day Unit at Whiston Hospital.

These gifts will help towards their fund-raising events this summer.

I would like to thank the following businesses for their wonderful gifts, which will help patients like me have a chance at a better future. Thank you so much.

The Cancer Day Unit will have a tombola stall, raffle prizes and a bric-a-brac stall at the Prescot Carnival on Saturday, June 10, and a charity night with raffle prizes at the Guild Hall, Prescot, on Friday, June 23.
