PLANS for a non-alcoholic bar in Lancaster have suffered a set back after being refused grant funding.
A bid for cash from the Prince's Trust was rejected in the latest round of grant applications.
The project is being organised by a group of city teenagers, the www.group. One of their advisors, Duncan Moore, said: "It is disappointing. Obviously the group have been working very hard to get this project up and running and establish a facility of this kind in Lancaster.
"They spent a long time over the application to the trust, but unfortunately there were certain criteria the project didn't meet to secure the funding.
Far from becoming despondent, the group are even more determined to explore every avenue of funding open to them.
"Many large companies have charitable trusts that offer grants for community projects such as this, these are now being considered and applications prepared," he added.
