UP and coming Lancaster chef Chris Dickson has cooked up a sizzling TV debut.
Chris, head chef at the Thurnham Hall timeshare complex, has appeared on Granada TV's new digital channel, Granada Breeze.
And his sizzling debut on 'club vegetarian' could be the start of a major TV career.
"I made a classic summer pudding and a brochte of summer fruits, barbecued," said Chris, who trained at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
"I had to do two different dishes in just eight minutes, and I did it all in one take, which they tell me is quite rare.
"It was a fantastic experience and I want to do more. I will be doing other work with Granada, but I quite fancy something like Ready, Steady, Cook"
But Chris, who took over at Thurnham Hall just eight months ago, is no stranger to the big names in TV cooking. Among his former colleagues is the legendary Delia Smith.
He added: "I worked for John Tavey at the Miller Howe hotel in the Lake District.
"I also helped open up a restaurant in Windermere and we made it into the Good Food Guide.
"I worked with Delia Smith for a month at Miller Howe. It was a fantastic experience to see how someone like that works.
"I also worked for a month in South Africa, which has had an influence on my cooking.
"The food at Thurnham Hall is for residents only, but we think we offer the best off in any timeshare anywhere. Some of them don't even have restaurants.
"I believe in quality rather than quantity."
