THE Northern Premier League are on collision course with the Manchester Evening News Inter League Cup competition organisers.
For the first round of the competition, eight of the Northern League sides are taking part in different competitions -- and the cup organisers are demanding that they field their strongest side.
Northern League chairman Norman Brown said: "We will be fielding the strongest side available to us from the teams not in other competitions, to play against the Bolton Leagues.
"We will be discussing the issue at a league meeting next week, and will have a representative at the Inter League meeting on the same night."
