A PRESTON women's refuge has been renovated by hardworking Prince's Trust volunteers.
For twelve weeks, the team, led by Phil Hall of the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, has undertaken team-building exercises and learned skills necessary to complete their challenge.
Part of the volunteers' work was to refurbish the lounge and bathroom of the refuge. The garden was also given a make-over.
Materials were donated by local companies in response to the team's requests for donations.
Volunteer Anne-Marie Coatsworth, 24, said the project had boosted the morale of the women in the refuge.
David Rowe, 23, thought that because of the volunteers' work, residents at the refuge would realise that people do want to help.
