ADVENTUROUS volunteers in Preston are needed to take part in a novel fund-raising event.
Corporate teams who think they are up for a challenge are being invited to take part in a Dragon Boat Race to raise funds for The National Deaf Children's Society.
The NDCS is a registered charity which provides information support and opportunities to ensure that all deaf children can enjoy a happy, fulfilled and rewarding childhood.
Event organisers, Skyline, are looking for teams of 11 people who can raise a minimum amount of £1,000 between them - that is less than £100 per person, to take part in the challenge.
And virtually anyone can enter, as long as they are aged between 14 and 60 and are in reasonably good health.
The event is set to take place on July 23 at a specially prepared course at Trafford Water Sports centre, near Sale. Anybody wishing to take part should contact Nick Rose, free on 020 7359 6080.
