LANCASHIRE County Council and Lancashire Constabulary have launched a joint summer drink-drive campaign called "Together We Can Make a Difference."
The campaign urges organisations to sign up to the campaign and do their bit to discourage drink driving.
And the message from police is simple: If you know anyone who drinks and drives call Drink Link on 0800 555 111 now.
Road policing co-ordinator Chief Inspector Ian Bell said: "Although there has been a significant reduction in the number of people killed in drink-drive related crashes during the past 15 years, there still remains a hardcore of drivers who persist with this irresponsible behaviour.
"Drink driving remains a serious life-threatening issue. If we can save even one life as a result of making people more aware of the dangers, then the campaign will have been worthwhile.
"I would urge members of the public to report known offenders through Drink Link in the knowledge that the call will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
