LAST week's article about a special family reunion for people with the surnames Tuson or Desoer proved to be a huge success for organiser Kathleen Hargreaves.
Hundreds of people turned up to the long lost family event at the Bay Horse Hotel, in Preston Road, Whittle-le-Woods, Preston, last weekend.
After spending years tracking down their maternal relatives and compiling two family trees, Leyland-born Kathleen and her brother who now lives in Canada, were eager to leave no stone unturned.
And their appeal in the Citizen roped in lots of fresh leads as well as dozens of distant relatives which neither knew existed.
Kathleen said: "My cousin Jean was there -- I vaguely remember her -- and she had a bible which belonged to my great-great grandma Elizabeth Sumner and dated March 30, 1872.
"Everyone had a really great time. We had an overwhelming response to the article and I'd like to thank everyone for turning up and showing such interest."
