I WOULD like to totally agree with Mr Geoff Woodhead (Citizen letters: June 1) regarding Lancaster bus station.
I don't have a car so me and my family walk or catch the bus, but I do not see the need for a new bus station.
How about a lot more bus shelters, cheaper prices, especially for families.
You can have the best bus station in the world, but without cheaper fares, more bus lanes and active encouragement to use the bus, you are nowhere.
Let's revamp the old bus station and reclaim the car park as part of the station. The money that is saved could be spent on the above ideas (I'm sure your readers have many more) to actually get more people to use the buses. Let's 'get green', it costs less.
