NEW environmental legislation came under the spotlight at a special seminar in Bury.
And four representatives from the Environment Agency were the guest speakers at the event, hosted by Bury's Business Environment Association (BEA).
Topics which came under discussion included waste regulations, contaminated land law, duty of care and other legislation.
More than 20 companies attended the seminar at the BEA's base in Link House to hear about these important new and current regulations.
In particular, new regulations which will affect businesses from October were discussed, as were the new contaminated land regulations which came into force in April.
Up-and-coming new laws on end of life electrical equipment, end of life vehicles and landfill directive were also discussed.
The Groundwork Business Environment Association in Bury is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions through Single Regeneration Budget and private sector contributions.
