LEYLAND'S C'est Tous Theatre Company is to perform at the home of the Bard.
The Company is putting on a one-show special of Midsummer Night's Dream in the Midlands by request at Stratford-Upon-Avon.
But one unlikely member of the cast will not be making the trip down to Stratford -- poor Peggy the horse will have to wait for fellow cast members to return before joining the production!
Local horse Peggy appears in the play as Oberon's steed, but the group felt it would be unfair to drag their additional member all the way to Stratford and back for the sake of a show.
But spirits are high at the group as the cast and backstage crew look forward to putting on a show at the home of Shakespeare.
David Houston said: "A PR company in Manchester asked us to put on our latest show at one of the smaller stages in Stratford.
"It is a great honour for us to go there and perform and every one of us is really looking forward to it.
"The show comes to Worden Park on July 13 for a two week run and then we will be doing a couple of shows at Gawthorpe Hall and Turton Tower." C'est Tous has also featured heavily recently in The Stage, regarded as the UK's leading theatre and art publication.
David added: "The articles note the idyllic location of the Marsden Theatre, Worden Park, once again placing South Ribble under the spotlight, and refers to Shakespeare's acquaintance with its former owner, William Farrington, reputed to have been the bard's inspiration for Malvolio in Twelfth night."
The group is planning an intensive summer school course in performing arts for young actors aged seven to 18. If interested, call 431300 for details.
